This was in fact our first greek wedding photography experience and I truly hope not our last. It was a long day as we left home in the North East of England at 6am, I dropped Brian in Manchester then headed to the brides home in Chester before travelling to Liverpool.
For anyone not familiar with Greek weddings there are many customs to observe and participate in. This constantly keeps you on your toes.
After the morning prep it was onto the Greek Orthodox Church of St Nicholas in Liverpool for the wedding service photography. It was packed inside and the relatively relaxed atmosphere a stark contrast to a traditional British wedding.
More travelling was required to get to the venue in Manchester. Wedding photography at Davenport Green Hotel was lively. With the best part of 500 guests going for it in a big way it was never going to be anything other. Lots of drinking, lots of dancing and then some more dancing provided a very colourful subject matter. We eventually left Davenport Green Hotel at midnight and arrived home as the birds were starting to sing.
Exhausting and exhilarating. Hungry for more.
