Steph and Andy got married in their home town of Corbridge and they had their reception at Doxford Hall in Northumberland. Normally the transfer between church and venue is not problematic but on this occasion there was severe congestion and the journey seemed to take forever (in fact it was only 2 hours). Fair to say a few people would have a liked a comfort break en route.
The church in Corbridge is lovely but slightly inaccessible for parking so it requires us to “leg-it” after ditching the car somewhere close by to get into the church. With it being situated in the market place of a touristy town there are usually plenty of onlookers and on a bright sunny day this was no exception.
Anyway we eventually got to Doxford Hall and the wedding really got going quickly. This was a fun crowd and the speeches were a real laugh but quite emotional too.
All in all when i reflect on this wedding i can honestly say it was a great day and a privilege to photograph a lovely couple.
