Yorkshire Wedding Barn is a new wedding venue in the small village of Gilling West near Richmond in North Yorkshire. This stunning venue has been conceived by owners Neville and Amanda who provide guests and suppliers alike with a very warm welcome.
Yorkshire Wedding Barn is a stones throw from the A1 and A66 by Scotch Corner so whilst in the middle of the Yorkshire countryside it is very easy to access from all directions. The former dairy farm has been painstakingly developed to provide luxury accommodation through several cottages on site and a large function room with a great bar area. It is fair to say we visit some of the better wedding venues around the UK and Europe and this place definitely got the thumbs up from us both.
One of the nice things about the Yorkshire Wedding Barn was that you can have a civil ceremony or you can get married in the rather quaint village church which isa 2 minute walk across the field (or car for worried brides). The vicar was relaxed and welcoming to all and this is a real bonus as it makes the venue so much more capable of holding different types of wedding.
Throughout the day the emphasis was on “relaxed” from music acts to garden games everything fitted together seamlessly. One thing we were not party too were the catering arrangements but i am pretty sure they came as an outside supplier which is brilliant as it would allow couples to truly have flexibility on how they would eat.
Another coup for Neville and Amanda is the ability to have firework displays. Increasingly planners are clamping down on fireworks so it was a treat to see some at a wedding as it would appear to be on the wane everywhere else.
Anyway what i would say to anyone thinking about getting married who is seeking a true Yorkshire wedding venue with plenty of character and lots of style too then go and take a look for yourselves at the Yorkshire Wedding Barn.
